Terry Connolly
Terry R. Connolly, a native of Parkersburg, WV, attended Parkersburg High School and graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, WV with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He has achieved the designations of CRB: Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, awarded by the REALTORS National Marketing Institute; CRP: Certified Relocation Professional, awarded by the Employee Relocation Council (ERC); and GRI: Graduate of The REALTORS Institute, awarded by the West Virginia Association of REALTORS. Terry has instructed at the West Virginia REALTORS Institute and is currently a candidate for the CCIM: Certified Commercial Industrial Manager, an award of the REALTORS National Marketing Institute.
Terry Served in the U.S. Army for three years, as an Infantry officer and was a decorated Viet Nam combat Helicopter pilot, attaining the rank of Captain.
Connolly received his West Virginia Real Estate license in February 1973, and joined Givens Realty of Vienna, WV as a sales associate. In 1974, he was the managing partner at the inception of North Hills Realty, maintaining that position until the dissolution in 1978. The new firm became known as Connolly & Assoc., REALTORS, with Terry as the broker/owner. In 1989, Terry’s firm was the first to accept The Prudential Real Estate Affiliates invitation of affiliation in the state of West Virginia. 1998 saw the change of the firm name to Prudential Preferred Homes.
Terry has served as: the President, and several terms as a Director of the Parkersburg/Wood County Board of REALTORS; chairman of the Professional Standards and Ethics committee; chairman of the West Virginia Association of REALTORS Graduate Realtor Institute.
Through the years Terry has been active in community affairs, beginning as an Eagle Scout; serving as President of the Vienna Lions Club; member of several Parkersburg Chamber of Commerce committees; and member of the Parkersburg Rotary Club, as well as other civic and fraternal organizations.
